Toward the end of last year there was plenty of buzz around ‘Social Media’ and what was going to happen in 2010. Let’s take a look back at a couple of those forecasts:

Mobile becomes a social media lifeline
With approximately 70 percent of organizations banning social networks and, simultaneously, sales of smartphones on the rise, it’s likely that employees will seek to feed their social media addictions on their mobile devices. What used to be cigarette breaks could turn into “social media breaks” as long as there is a clear signal and IT isn’t looking. As a result, we may see more and/or better mobile versions of our favorite social drug of choice.

The evolution of social media has brought about many great innovations. It just makes sense that social media is fully accessible while out and about. I personally love my Groupon app, especially when I’m in a new city, as it makes it even more convenient for me to try new things!

Do you have a favorite mobile app that helps make life just a little easier?
